Welcome to La Ventana Kiteboarding, Baja

If your friends have been telling you about what a great kitespot La Ventana is, take their word :)

The wind comes up at about 11:00 am, usually blows between 20-25 knots. You can go in early, to get the lighter part of the wind, or hit the water in the early afternoon and get 2-3 hours of the strongest wind of the day. When the sun begins to set, the wind stops. This thermal schedule allows for no sacrifice; dinner & drinks with friends or an early night is your choice. So is, being able to get up and use your morning for a boat trip or hike before kiting, or preferring to sleep in until the wind comes up. This is part of the reason why people come to La Ventana.

It's easy to get to La Ventana. There is a great selection for accommodations. There are great kiteschools and the friendly landing and launching areas for beginners. There are great choices of restaurants for seafood, Mexican and Italian cuisine,

La Ventana's wind season is from late October to the end of April. Kiteboarding and windsurfing are the most popular of the many attractions in La Ventana, like goat hunting, kayaking, deep sea fishing, swimming with whale sharks, Mexican crafts, snorkeling, bird watching, and individualized itineraries.
